The Reynolds Company is a Greenville, South Carolina, based manufacturer of water-based, hot melt, and dry-blended adhesives. In addition to adhesives, we perform customized, contract or "toll" blending and manufacture a variety of fire retardent and other specialty coatings.
• Water-Based Adhesives
The water-based adhesives produced by Reynolds include resin-based adhesives, such as EVAs (ethylene vinyl acetates), SBRs (styrene butadiene rubbers), and acrylics. Most are referred to as "white glues", "cold glues", or
"resins". The Reynolds Company also manufactures dextrine-based, as well as starch-based adhesives. Additionally, the Company offers PSAs (pressure-
sensitive adhesives) and heat-activated adhesives.
• Hot Melt Adhesives
Reynolds manufactures a diverse line of hot melt adhesives which are comprised of rubber-based products for pressure sensitive applications, ethylene vinyl acetate products for case and carton sealing, and amorphous polyolefins for product assembly applications. Packaging is available in drum, block, chip, and pellet forms. These are shipped in returnable tubs, boxes, and
supersacks.
• Dry Adhesives
We also manufacture a line of dry adhesives in a one bag mix for customers who cook their own. The Company's "one-bag mix" is designed to make it easier, cleaner, and more cost-effective for the customer to produce a consistent product. Most of these products are manufactured for the tube winding, edge board, and paper laminating industries. The Company also performs custom compounding, blending, and sieving of dry products. Packaging of dry products is available in fifty pound bags, drums and supersacks.
• Specialty Coatings
Reynolds also offers a complete line of specialty coatings, some of which are patent-protected. Among this list of products are fire retardants, non-skid coatings, vapor barrier coatings, and back coatings for carpet and fabric markets. These coatings are water-based or hot melt technologies.
• "Custom" Blending
Much of our business has expanded into the area of toll blending, including water-based, hot melt, or dry-blended production. These products are made to the customer's specifications and many times with customer-applied
formulations and raw materials. We also provide particle separation ("sieving") services as well as custom packaging/labeling services. Packaging is available in sizes from five gallons to bulk tankers.
